Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the PuddleStone website, parent dashboard, and Android app.
Effective and last updated: 27 August 2026
1. The service
PuddleStone lets a parent or legal guardian approve selected YouTube creators and pair a child’s Android device to a limited feed. It is a content-selection aid, not a guarantee that every approved video will be suitable and not a replacement for supervision, device controls, or professional advice.
2. Who may use PuddleStone
The parent dashboard is for adults who can enter a binding agreement and have authority to manage the relevant child and device. You are responsible for your creator choices, device configuration, and compliance with laws applying to your family. Children should use only a device paired and managed by their parent or guardian.
3. YouTube terms
PuddleStone uses YouTube API Services. By using PuddleStone, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
YouTube videos, names, imagery, and other third-party material belong to their respective owners. Playback is supplied by YouTube. You must not use PuddleStone to download, copy, modify, obscure attribution or player controls, bypass restrictions, or use YouTube content in a way YouTube does not permit.
4. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your Google account and paired devices, and keep pairing codes confidential. Tell us promptly at privacy@puddlestone.com if you believe the service or your account has been misused.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or to harm, exploit, or endanger another person;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to another family, device, account, system, or credential;
- scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or probe the service except where law expressly permits;
- circumvent request limits, YouTube quotas, security controls, or content restrictions;
- misrepresent an affiliation with PuddleStone, Google, YouTube, or a creator; or
- upload or transmit malware or abusive material.
6. Availability and changes
We may maintain, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features. YouTube or another provider may remove content, change availability, impose quotas, or experience outages. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that a particular video or creator will remain available.
7. Suspension and ending use
We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect children, users, providers, or the service; investigate suspected misuse; comply with law; or enforce these Terms. You may stop using PuddleStone at any time. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete server records; use the Data Deletion Policy.
8. Disclaimers and responsibility
PuddleStone is provided “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties that are not mandatory and are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for third-party content or services, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including YouTube API data and child-device identifiers. It forms an important part of these Terms.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms as the service or law changes. Revised terms will be posted here with a new date, and material changes may be highlighted in the service. Questions can be sent to privacy@puddlestone.com.
